Tom and Jan’s Grangefield boys have had an exciting summer:
Grangefield Tin Pan Alley ( Jazz) earned his novice lure coursing title (CAT) in two shows on May 10 and June 21. He showed no hesitation in chasing the plastic “bunny” over the three hundred yard course. His best time was thirty-eight seconds.
His nephew Grangefield Bluegrass Balladeer (Banjo) passed his Herding Instinct test at our club meeting on June 14. After a hesitant start he figured out that he was SUPPOSED to chase the sheep. In July at the Shawnee Kennel Club show in Virginia he earned his Rally Excellent title and his Beginner Novice Obedience title on the same day.
Both dogs and their handler are “on vacation” for the rest of the summer.
Taryn T. sends some exciting news. “Jimmy completed his 20th double-Q on April 26th to earn his AKC Master Agility Championship!
He is now MACH Fine Creek’s Sharp Dressed Man RN HT MX2 MXJ4 MJB MXB OF T2B. Many heart-felt thanks go to Jimmy’s breeder Anne Taylor for trusting me with this boy and for supporting us so thoroughly throughout our long journey to this big title! Jimmy has now moved to the 8 Inch Preferred class and is loving the lower jump height as we work toward our PACH.”
Taryn’s Jimmy had a very successful weekend running for the very first time in the AKC 8 inch Preferred Agility class….He’s off to a good start…2 double-Qs and 91 PACH points!
From Taryn Tipton:
On Saturday 4/26/2014, Jimmy and I earned our final double-Q to complete our Master Agility Championship. Needless to say I was ecstatic and Jimmy was pretty pleased with all the extra treats! Many thanks to Jimmy’s breeder, Anne Taylor, for trusting me with this great little guy who loves to play this game. I am so proud of this boy!
Pending AKC approval, Jimmy is now:
